Christmas In July

Merry ½ Way to Christmas!  While there is no snow dancing from the sky, we’re actually on our third day of record breaking heat after a week of near record, there will be gifts….

A free copy of my Christmas novella…The Christmas Reunion

Five years ago Joleigh Nelson turned her back on the only man she’d ever love to save her father and unborn son’s lives. Now he may be the only one who can save her home, the New Forks SPCA.

Spencer Thompkin has spent the last five years in an emotional wasteland. Unable to let anyone in after Joleigh disappeared without a word. He has found her and a son he never knew about. Can he get over the feelings of betrayal and help Joleigh save her home? Or will the heartless lawyer part of him prevail leaving Joleigh homeless and without her son?

A Christmas Reunion may not even be enough to save the SPCA and restore their love.

Reviewer: Brenda Talley

Ms. Lyncee Shillard has written a good page turner which was fast-paced as well as highly emotional. This short book was packed full of information concerning the happenings of this couple. It actually seemed much longer, until the end. The very ending of the book was rushed, I felt. However, it was full of surprises and well written. This couple was faced with obstacles which eventually were explained. I actually liked the manner in which she wrote and divulged the details.

Shillard’s secondary characters were either very good or very bad. Either way, they were well expanded. The sensuality was evident, but it was more implied than graphic. The actions of all the characters were understandable. I’ll admit, I shed a few tears. It was a poignant look at double-crossed lovers.

I recommend this book to others. It was well written and interesting. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Overall rating:
Sensuality rating: Mildly sensual
