Fall Romance

The weather is cooler, the leaves are in full color here in Michigan and there is romance in the air.

Of course if you can afford/have the time a get away is always romantic and nothing bets a colorful train ride through the coutry. When you think about the most romantic mode of transportation, what comes to mind? Cars take concentration. Bus rides are too busy. Cruises only deliver you to ports reachable by water. Trains, though, are a terrific way for couples to travel.

Seated side by side, you get to view magnificent scenery through your window. There’s time to kiss. Sleep. Dream. Whether you board a scenic train, an overnight train, or even scenic commuter trains, you’re likely to find such rides great fun for two.

Can’t take a long trip, then go for an afternoon walk through the forest. Enjoy the colors, the animals scurrying to make their winter homes. After the walk come home and settle in with a nice mug of hot chocolate. Here is my favorite recipe…(a little flavored rum is a nice add on if you want it to be an adult drink)
Ingredients
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup white sugar
1 pinch salt
1/3 cup boiling water
3 1/2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
Directions
1.Combine the cocoa, sugar and pinch of salt in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes. Watch that it doesn’t scorch. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil! Remove from heat and add vanilla. Divide between 4 mugs. Add the cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature.

On Halloween, part of the fun for couples is dressing in costumes that complement one another.

What’s your Halloween costumes fantasy: Are you superheroes, romantic characters from history, devils in disguise, a pirate and wench, or some other couples entirely?

Whether you have a Halloween party to go to or are celebrating by yourselves, these costumes for couples can make the night even more sexy and fun.

So do you have any fall romance ideas you would like to share?
