Sunset on Summer Fun Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog! Here in Northern Michigan there is a crispness in the air that can only mean ONE thing ~ fall is making her entrance.

Summer is my favorite time of the year. Period. I hate winter actually I loathe winter which can be an issue since I live in Northern Michigan.  BUT thankfully, I’m a writer. Every story I’ve written except one (The Cabin – Toria and Neal) is set during the summer J So while the snow maybe pelting my window, I’m busy research and writing about a kayaking adventure down the Amazon (Taking a Risk). Another one of my summer stories is Ticket to Love is a sweet historical romance ….

To say I enjoyed this book would be on the mild side. I started it in the evening thinking to read just a chapter, then read all the way to the end, long into the night. I couldn’t put it down. The characters are strong, sassy, and entertaining. Even Samuel’s partner, a half Indian/former Ranger named Jake, and Jake’s brother Moose Jaw, add both comedy and insight as the story progresses. Isabella is a strong, reliant woman who stands up to the taciturn Samuel as well as standing by him. Samuel wants a companion and bedmate, not a woman to love. He’s been there and gotten badly scarred, but Isabella isn’t a woman he can ignore. Watching these two dance around their attraction to each other is really fun.

The Romance Studio – 5 stars

The only thing Isabella knows is how to run a con. So why is she falling in love with Samuel?

Blurb ~

Life in the 1800’s Colorado Mountains is hard. Ex-Texas Ranger Samuel Bisson has his hands full with range wars and cattle rustlers. When his mail-order bride steps off the train he knows that life just became more complicated.

After watching her only friend die, Isabella learns she is being blamed. Taking the the train Samuel sent to Sarah seems to be Isabella only escape. Her plan was to pretend to be Sarah long enough to get the money she needed to continue to San Francisco. However, she soon realizes the ticket she took hoping to escape became a ticket to love. Now she only needs to make Samuel realize that before her past shows up to destroy them.

Samuel excepted a redhead covered in freckles that had lived on a farm with her parents before moving to Chicago. Instead, he gets a dark haired beauty who has lived her entire life on the cold streets of Chicago. He has to decide if he can let himself trust this woman or will he allow his pride to keep him from letting her in?
