It’s a Monday…

Today is a Monday – completely! After 10 days off from school because he was sick the 7 year-old return. WOO-Hoo!!! I don’t know who was more excited. But that meant – lunch had to be packed – take-home folder had to be found – everyone had to get dressed (we went from pj’s to lounge clothes back to pj’s). It was brutal!

I have edits waiting in my inbox for this… the cover is soooooo amazing, I hope I can a story to do it justice.

(ARC review) – To Know a Killer – spine tingling suspenseful romance
WOW! Talk about suspenseful with twists and turns no one could predict!

I need to write new words, because this needs book 2 done.

I also need to some serious revisions to my writing projections. My shoulder isn’t going to improve anytime soon. 😦 Major bummer. My card for the week is a positive one for this task. I’m offering free readings on my Tasarla blog. If you are interested, hop on over and drop me comment.

The Emperor – the main focus is organization and practical focus.

And because we are having a Monday all over the place, I decide to get paczki. Because paczki makes everything better.

We had crazy weather the last 3 days!

So how’s your day going?

Tourist Tuesday

Last week I featured a charming little park in the middle of downtown where I live. It has lovely flowers, soothing fountains, red brick paths, and a charming gazebo. A place for romance – or – murder :-O

This week, I’m going to share a few other local things that spark my muse.

Welcome to my neighborhood….

Where there are ….

Things that go nowhere…

Things that lurk in the fog…

Things abandoned in the woods…

And a red waterfall….

What do you see in my neighborhood, I’d love to hear

Tourist Tuesday

As a writer, I’m always clicking pictures of places I could use in one of stories and … not always in the way you would expect. For example…

DSCN0050

A walk in a forgotten city garden.

DSCN0056

She’s amazed at the beauty and wonders why no one else is there.

DSCN0053

Drinking her lemonade, she decides she’s glad to have it to herself.

DSCN2005

She makes her way to the gazebo. She smiles thinking she’s like a princess with her own private garden….only instead of Prince Charming waiting for her, Β there is a killer. One who grooms the garden to lure his victims in. She’s a fly in his spider web.

I love this park…the beauty, the contrast of the business city around it, but I can’t help but think a serial killer would love it to πŸ˜‰ I’ve made places we go into book settings so often, my hubby will now ask, ‘Is someone dying here or having great sex?’ Because with me it could go either way πŸ˜€

Have you ever been somewhere and have an unexpected way to use the setting hit you?

Tourist Tuesday

Pictures by a backyard tourist….I’ve always wanted to travel – still do – but I’ve also come to appreciate the beauty and wonder in my own backyard.

This week’s backyard tourist picture was taken APRIL 2!!!!!! Crazy I know but mother nature is clearly having issues and I’m trying to be supportive… by featuring her craziness in it’s beauty.

DSCN1548

I like this picture for several reason – the stressed out over worked side of me loves the stillness, the solitude. It’s the same solitude that has my writer side vibrating with possibilities…. The way the trees provide a frame but who is looking???? A killer scoping out a dumping spot??? A lover waiting for her/his partner??? Or is the frame a portal into some frozen world???? My writer side is very complex πŸ˜‰

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the picture and please feel free to share in favorite backyard tourist shots you may have
